Don't anyone panic, but this looks as if it could actually qualify as the first "lifestyle" center.

I wouldn't classify it as a lifestyle center as the mall was quite separate from the parking area. To me, a lifesytle center means you can drive right up to the stores and walk in from the parking lot.
Old Orchard has become huge and bloated these days. I was there in September and they were bulldozing the former Saks Fifth Avenue building. Neither Bloomingdale's now Marshall Field had many customers the day I was there.
Why is that everytime I go there I never find a parking spot. But it isn't often that I go there. I mean I can't exactly afford the over-priced and over-bloated crap nor would I want to pay the prices if I could afford it.
