Cherry Hill Mall
Cherry Hill, New Jersey - circa 1960's
Another beautiful vintage view of "Cherry Court", inside Cherry Hill Mall--this one a wider shot of the last one I featured. Easier to see that groovy pop art floor design now! Postcard caption:
"View of Cherry Court, an exotic garden landscaped with picturesque trees, plants and flowers that bloom the year around amid quiet garden pools and a delightful fountain display. With controlled temperature, it is always springtime here."Mall history: 1961 - present

Did this mall also use colored lights? This time, it's blue. The last posting, it was orangey-yellow.

I didn't even remember that fountain had lights at all...any Macy's fountain court pics? Also, any pics of Quakerbridge, Woodbridge Center, Rockaway Townsquare or GS Plaza right after it was enclosed?
Oh, boy! Christmas came early! Thanks, Santa Keith! You know how I feel about this mall from your last Cherry Hill post. I'd wondered what was going on with that upper pool, and now I know!
I've still got a bunch of mall pics to send you, and I hope you're getting my e-mails. If you have any suggestions about how to get these images to you more effectively, I'd be happy to try. Maybe a regular weekly day/time for sending the e-mails? A disc? Just let me know! Ho, ho, ho!
Frickin AWESOME!! Spent a lot of time around this very fountain (and mall) as a child. Oh how the memories come flooding back...
I remember being fascinated by the way those fountains were timed.. First, the big one, then, twenty seconds later, the smaller one, and so on.
Also, I jumped into them as a rambunctious 2-1/2 year old. Mom was not impressed.
does anyone know where this picture was taken in the mall?

I believe the photo of the fountains was taken from the balcony of the restaurant in Strawbridge's. You could walk up the steps from the mall and enter the restaurant balcony or the store proper. Lot's of lunches with mom there.
