I wonder if the architect was inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright?http://www.bc.edu/bc_org/avp/cas/fnart/fa267/flw/jwax03.jpg(Johnson Wax Building)
I'm seeing a lot of Minoru Yamasaki also.
Chris -- that's the same thing I thought.
What a gorgeous picture! Many memories of those arches. A large portion of the Moorestown Mall burned back in 1992 or 1993, just before Christmas. It's since been completely rebuilt and is thriving, but what a blast from the past!!
Makes me wish Toledo had a mall that had opened before '69 with this sort of concept!
I was one of two assistant managers of the Woolworths store back in 1976-1977. The biggest memories I have of Moorestown Mall were the thick, heavy smell of burnt cinnamon and Billy Joels new release "The Stranger".Bill FarrarUS Forces CustomsRamstein Air BaseGermany
