Vintage 1972 Eaton's Catalog

Eaton's Catalog - Fall & Winter 1972

Looking back on fashion of 1972 you see that things thirty four years later haven't changed that much. Walk into an Express or a New York and Company and you will see those long tunic sweaters with belts or the sweater and bliuse combo or the pea coat, but you won't see that ugly ass yellow plaid. Or maybe you will.

My Mom had a coat very much like the blue one on the right, except that hers was purple.

As for fashions not changing much, western fashion has borrowed from earlier styles at least since the 1980s if not before.

Those two girls in the middle are pretty cute....I ain't having any luck down here in the states, so maybe I'll pack up and head north.

I love Canada! And they still have department stores downtown! What more could I ask for?

Growing up in the 70's , buying my clothes out of catalogs, I remember the girl in the sweater modeling in alot of the preteen and teen sections for us girls in the 70's.Funny what you forget and then remember.Used to look at all of the old catalogs for hours looking at the clothes.
