Vintage 1968 Montgomery Ward Catalog

Montgomery Ward Catalog - Fall/Winter 1968

Just another cool old catalog cover I found on ebay. I quite dig these. Always have.

Like a lot of other people, I totally wore old department store catalogs out (toy sections) around Christmas time when I was a kid! Still have a few of those original Wards and Sears copies, with all the stuff I wanted from Santa those years (mid to late '70s) still circled--yes, I did get that sweet Steeler's coat, KISS Alive II LP, and Vincent Price Shrunken Apple Head kit I wanted soooo bad! :D

  2. I remember fighting with my sister over the catalogs. I had to put an X on what I wanted, and she would put a O on what she wanted. Good times.

Then I got a job at Wards the year after they axed their catalog, and had to spend years dealing with crap from old geezers that wanted to know why, as if it was my fault.

  3. A few months ago, I went to this swanky vintage store that had an old Montgomery Ward Catalog from 1959 or 1960. But the lady running the shop wanted nearly forty bucks for it. Is ebay cheaper in that resepct?

  4. catalogs were better in those epochs. Now we can find just ladies showing their bodies. catalogs in this epoch is more vulgra, and some decades ago they were more professional.
