Horseheads, New York - circa 1970Another great interior shot from "The Mall" (now Arnot Mall), in Horseheads, with its unique draping Spanish gardens looking vibe! Truly a quintessential 1970's shopping mall photo.

Not too shabby. I've been to some malls that look more out-of-date than this... and this picture s thirty some odd years old?
ReplyDeleteThis one is almost like walking through the Botanic Gardens. What's does the red lettering on the left-hand side say?
ReplyDeleteLooks like the blue part of the sign is "Rexall." Maybe a drug store?

Ha, yeah that's one way to put it, Cora. Dead is another.
ReplyDeleteNot sure yet which store that is on the left there. It may be a drug store, like Scott said.
It does look like it might say Rexall that's why I asked. That's what I thought it may have said.
ReplyDeleteI believe it was a Rea & Derick.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone remember the name of the store that also had a lunch counter? Would have been there in early 90s.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
