Thanks for the comments, buddy. I have a few more Galleria shots I'll post for ya soon. And if you ever have any mall requests, just let me know and it'll go to the top of my cue! :)
I would complain, that this is an open forum for dating or gazing with lustful eyes, but in this day & time I'm just happy that you're looking for the opposite sex(Romans 8). Great picture Chris, hope you find your hearts desire...Monique.
Grew up with the Galleria since it started... lost a tooth there when I was 6 at the Mexican restaurant that was on the bottom floor by a corner of the skating rink! Was it El Fenix? It was always special to go to this mall. Shame they lost their cool, mod movie theaters. The screen and walls were bathed in a dim, soothing aqua blue light. No curtains or other fuss, just very streamlined.
Hello I am not sure if anyone is still active on this site but I am trying to confirm something. Was there by any chance in this mall a place called ‘ Sgt. Singers pizza circus any help would be appreciated
Does anyone have information on what jewelry stores were in the mall between 1980 and 1985? I’m trying to track down where my mother bought a ring. She recently passed.
Oh man, the Galleria. For a Galveston boy, there was no better place to cruise for those fast, big-city girls than the Galleria.
ReplyDeleteThe Galleria is still a great mall. Very upscale.

ReplyDeleteNice pic of the Galleria rink. They do a Christmas show every year, getting local elite skaters. This year it was probably Katy Taylor.
ReplyDeleteWe've lost so many mall rinks...but now Mills properties have built a couple at their sites. Did you know 2006 US Adult Nationals was at a mall?

ReplyDeleteYep, my uncle was the manager there & my brother worked there too. Use to cruise the Galleria until he was off
