Last time i was in GJ, 5 or 6 years ago, the main street shopping area looked much the same, except for the old cars and slightly more mature trees.
2009 – The pedestrian shopping mall remains the same. The planters have been removed and now beautiful brass and other types of sculptures have taken their place. The mall no longer has the thriving business it had when this picture was taken and now the street to the direct south of Main which is Colorado Ave which in the beginning of the town was actually the main street is undergoing a rehab to basically mirror the 1960 – 61 restructure of old main street which was as one time two lanes and the main drag for the 1950’s teenager.
Thanks for a marvelous posting!
