MOA Galleria - Jurassic Shopping Center

Snapshot most likely taken in 1967, when a traveling dinosaur display, sponsored by the Sinclair Oil Corporation, was making the rounds to shopping center and mall parking lots around the country. These life-size dino models actually came from the 1964 Worlds Fair originally. Here we see a T-Rex heading right for the Woolco entrance!

He looks like he will clobber poor Woolco. Although poor Woolco didn't need the TRex to be trampled upon. LOL

Anyone know where this tour would have come to Northern NJ or NYC? I remember seeing it when I was a kid (at least I think I remember seeing it - pretty fain memory).

I remember my parents took us kids to a suburban mall parking lot (here in Rochester, NY) one night to see those Sinclair dinosaurs - it was really dark and the dinos were really big - was it really 1967? (I was only 5!)

I also remember that Sinclair gas stations, here in Rochester anyways, gave out small plastic dinoaur 'toys' if you bought a certain amount of gas (probably a full tank!)
