Vintage Ben Franklin dimestore ads


I've mentioned here before my nostalgic digging of these old dimestores I frequented a lot with my mom when I was a kid, so in light of that, here are some more old Ben Franklin dimestore ads for your own shopping nostalgia convienience. Enjoy these low, low prices! :)

I didn't know they also had a variety store. We had a Ben Franklin Crafts, but they closed after about 10 years of business. I thought they were long gone.

I still get Irish Spring all the time here in MI. It's everywhere here.

Scott: I believe the variety stores (aka dimestores, as they called them) actually came first. Then they spun-off the craft outlets sometime later.

I remember the Ben Franklin dime store we used to have here in my town. It closed in 1990-91 if I'm not mistaken. Still miss the place. Shame they've had to close so many stores.

And yes, the dime stores came waaaaay before the craft stores. In some cases, there were even Ben Franklin Family Centers; I don't know what exactly those were.
